Payment card industry (PCI) compliance is mandated by credit card companies to help ensure the security of credit card transactions in the payments industry. Payment card industry compliance refers to the technical and operational standards that businesses follow to secure and protect credit card data provided by cardholders and transmitted through card processing transactions.

It is illegal to profit from credit card processing on your own. Having the right plan in place from a trusted provider that can ensure your business is set up to pass the fee on the correct way. 

All your transactions throughout the day will be settled at end of the day and that is called your batch. Industry standard is a two-day deposit, for example, your machine batches on Monday and you’ll receive your deposit on Wednesday. Most processors do offer a next-day option, this option typically will have a fee associated with it. 

A typical processing statement will break down all fees that go into making your transaction happen. Each card type used has its own cost (processing fees) and how you process the transaction (swipe, manual enter, or online) has a separate cost. There are also authorization fees. This occurs at the time of the transaction. Look at these as like making a phone call, each time you make a transaction your machine makes a call to your processor, the processor then calls the issuing cardholder bank and then all back to your machine in a matter of seconds to give you an approval. 

Your machine does not have ink, it prints on thermal paper. Two common
things to check are one, make sure the paper is correct. Scratch the
paper and look for a mark to be made, that side should be facing toward
you when inserting the paper roll. The second common thing to check, make sure the paper door is closed and click on each side.
